ANKARA (AA) – Galatasaray Club President Dursun Aydın Özbek and his accompanying delegation visited Anıtkabir. Chairman Özbek was accompanied during the visit by board members and Ankara Galatasaray Managers and Businessmen Association (1905 AGS) executives. Yellow-red people laid wreaths at Atatürk’s mausoleum and observed a minute of silence. The delegation took a souvenir photo on the steps of Anıtkabir and then went to the National Pact Tower.
President Dursun Aydın Özbek wrote the following in the Anıtkabir Private Book: “The founder of our Republic, our Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, today, as the President of Galatasaray Sports Club, I am proud and excited to be in your spiritual presence. The principles and values of our Republic, which you have entrusted to us, have always been the strongest guide illuminating the path of Galatasaray Sports Club.
The Republic is the most powerful place of equality of opportunity, modernization, self-confidence and belief in a bright future.” As the Galatasaray community, we see it as one of our most important responsibilities to keep this legacy alive in the generations we raise and the values we represent. With the inspiration we receive from you, we will continue to trust our youth, successfully represent our country internationally and carry the values of our Republic to future generations.
