NICOSIA (AA) – Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) National Football Team became the champion by defeating Padania 6-1 in the CONIFA (Confederation of Independent Football Associations) European Football Championship.
TRNC A National Football Team faced Padania in the final match of the CONIFA Tournament held in Como, Italy. TRNC National Football Team, which managed to defeat Padania 6-1 despite falling behind at the beginning of the match, became the European champion in the CONIFA Tournament for the first time in its history.
The success of the tournament, in which countries and autonomous regions that are not members of the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) participated, was welcomed with joy in the TRNC.
