Many weapon systems and ammunition developed by Makina ve Kimya Endüstrisi AŞ (MKE) take an active role within the scope of the EFES-2026 Combined, Joint Actual Fire Field Exercise. According to the statement made by MKE, many products developed for land, air and sea elements are included in the EFES-2026 Exercise. In this context, TOLGA close air defense system, BORAN light towed howitzer, Fırtına Howitzer weapon system, 35 millimeter weapon system, aircraft bombs, infantry rifles, sniper rifles and ammunition of different calibers are actively involved in the exercise.
MKE adds strength to Turkey’s layered defense in the field with many critical systems, especially the 35 millimeter weapon system, which is among the important striking elements of the Steel Dome. MKE products, which serve in a wide range of areas from close air defense to long-range fire support, from tank weapon systems to air ammunition, support the operational capabilities of the Turkish Armed Forces at different stages of EFES 2026.
In addition, MKE, which has a wide production capability from 5.56 millimeter infantry cartridges to 155 millimeter howitzer ammunition, from tank ammunition to rocket warheads, from aircraft bombs to mortar ammunition, stands out as the main striking force of EFES 2026 with both the weapon systems and the ammunition used.
