In the International Anatolian Phoenix-2026 Exercise, carried out under the coordination of Konya 3rd Main Jet Base Command, the operational capabilities of the Military Tactical Operations Kit (ATOK) developed by BİTES Defense were successfully demonstrated. According to the statement made by the company, the operation scenarios within the scope of the International Anatolian Phoenix-2026 Exercise, which was carried out under difficult operational conditions, were completed.

ATOK used in the exercise proved to be a remarkable force multiplier with its performance and operational contributions in the field. The system, which has advanced technological capabilities, increased the situational awareness of the troops in the field by ensuring the interoperability of command and control elements. Thanks to the system, close air support was directed quickly, accurately and safely. Target detection, engagement decisions and fire support processes were successfully coordinated with the real-time data flow provided via ATOK.

In the exercise, where mission effectiveness was maximized, significant operational superiority was achieved for the protection of friendly elements. The performance of the system during the exercise was appreciated by the authorities. ATOK’s technical capabilities have been verified in the field. Developed by BITES, ATOK stands out as a modular system that increases the situational awareness of military units with its portable and wearable integrated technology infrastructure.

The system, consisting of mobile smart devices and wireless sensors, can be customized according to operational needs. The capabilities offered by ATOK include open and closed network communication infrastructure, video conferencing, voice communication, intra-team messaging and file sharing. The system also allows instant image, audio and data sharing with the command control center. Friendly unit tracking, location detection via sensors in environments where there is no GPS signal, monitoring the instant health status of the personnel with sensors, and augmented reality supported tactical field display are among ATOK’s prominent capabilities.

With these features, ATOK serves as a holistic intelligence and decision support system that works integratedly in the field, beyond being just an operation support tool. “ATOK has become an extremely critical platform” BİTES Defense General Manager Yıldırım Azizoğlu, whose views were included in the statement, stated that the exercise is a critical platform for testing the technologies they developed in real operating conditions.

Azizoğlu emphasized that ATOK’s success in the field shows not only product performance but also the level of technological maturity the company has reached, and said: “Successful completion of these exercises carried out in real operational scenarios clearly shows that the solutions we have developed have found response in the field. The strong ecosystem and vision of the Turkish defense industry is one of the most important driving forces for us.

As BITES, we adopt an approach that not only develops our technology but also verifies it in the field and turns it into operational value.” Source: AA
