Poland-based defense industry company WB GROUP has launched its new legal entity, WB Romania, in the Romanian market. While this step is the company’s first subsidiary outside Poland within the borders of the European Union, it stands out as an important milestone in WB GROUP’s international expansion strategy. WB GROUP’s decision to enter the Romanian market is considered as part of its long-term strategy aimed at growth throughout Europe.
Romania, one of the critical countries of the region in terms of both industry and security, also draws attention with its role on the eastern flank of NATO. In the statement made by the company, it was emphasized that Romania will make significant contributions to WB GROUP’s capabilities with its favorable business environment, qualified workforce and strong local partnership opportunities. Local competencies to be created in this context are expected to play an active role not only in regional projects but also in the company’s global activities.
WB GROUP; While it is known for the solutions it develops in the fields of unmanned systems, communication, command-control and operational support, it stands out especially with its competence in system integration. The solutions developed by the company aim to increase data sharing, situational awareness and coordinated operation capabilities by providing an integrated structure where different systems can work together.
With the establishment of WB Romania, it is aimed to strengthen defense cooperation in Central and Eastern Europe. This step, which supports the industrial leg of military cooperation between Poland and Romania, is expected to contribute to the regional security architecture. While WB GROUP’s international structure currently includes subsidiaries in Ukraine, the USA and Malaysia, the company’s presence in the European Union has also expanded with WB Romania.
