Boğaziçi Defense Technologies, which operates in the field of UAV detection and blocking systems and fire suppression technologies, introduced its new products at the SAHA EXPO 2026 International Defense, Aviation and Space Fair held at Istanbul Expo Center between 5-9 May 2026. At the fair, the company particularly presented its high-tech İLTER J400 Drone Detection and Blocking System and İLTER HSPAR Electro-Optical (E/O) Drone Detection System to the visitors and international delegations.
The delegations were given detailed information about the technologies developed at the Boğaziçi Defense stand. Boğaziçi Defense Deputy General Manager Hakan Polat spoke to DefenseHere microphones at this important meeting of the defense industry and made statements about these two innovative products that meet many needs. Polat stated that the İLTER HSPAR system is a new generation drone detection radar with a hybrid structure and shared the following information: “The system can detect mini drones and DJI type commercial drones from a distance of 6 to 8 kilometers.
“It can also consistently detect fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles with a wingspan of 2 meters at a range of 8-10 kilometers.” Polat said that the İLTER J400 mixing system, another product introduced at the fair, has a much wider frequency coverage than the previous generation İLTER J350. “İLTER J400 covers the entire spectrum starting from 20 MHz to 8 GHz. It has a very strong output power. When we activate the system, we do not leave any frequencies where drones can provide command and control.
“In this way, we prevent a drone from flying by disconnecting it, which may approach our troops or carry out an attack.” Polat emphasized that the system provides a significant deterrent against the use of RF-based drones.
