Mersin Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) Chairman Sabri Tekli stated that Mersin has been a province devoted to the defense industry for the last five years and shared important information about the clustering efforts of companies in the region. Tekli emphasized that the number of companies doing business with the defense industry in Mersin and especially supporting national factories has increased, and said, “We have been a province devoted to this defense industry for five years.

Mersin businessmen are very excited about this issue and our number is increasing day by day. Acting together with the clustering of companies in Mersin, we have now reached 38 companies in Mersin. We have 38 companies doing business with the defense industry, especially supporting our national factories.” he said. Stating that, as Mersin OSB, they hosted 15 companies at their stands at SAHA EXPO 2026, Tekli summarized the size of the growth with the following words: “We host 15 of them at our stand under our own roof and we experience very nice lively moments.
