TMO announced the grain purchase and sales prices for 2026. While the new prices shared with the public directly concern wheat and barley producers, the total amounts that farmers will receive with the support payments have also become clear. While the grain harvest in the country started with a delay compared to 2025 due to the effect of rains, it was learned that the harvest process continues in some regions. In order to meet the storage needs of farmers, TMO started to receive wheat and barley products registered in the Farmer Registration System (ÇKS) against a commitment as of May 21.
3 THOUSAND 014 TL PER TON According to the information obtained, the purchase price per ton of pasta and bread wheat in the second group of products was 16 thousand 500 lira, while the purchase price of barley was determined as 12 thousand 750 lira. It was stated that these amounts were calculated taking into account market balances and producer costs. In the statement made by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, it was stated that a total of 980 lira per decare will be paid to farmers within the scope of basic support, planned production support and certified seed use support.
It was stated that, together with the average yield calculations, these supports correspond to approximately 3 thousand 014 liras per ton. IT WILL BE PAID TO FARMERS WITHIN 45 DAYS AT THE LATEST. With the addition of the supports, the total income to be received by farmers is calculated as 19 thousand 514 liras per ton for wheat and 15 thousand 764 liras per ton for barley. It was learned that TMO will transfer the product price payments to the farmers’ bank accounts within 45 days after delivery.
It was also announced that the institution will start grain sales as of October 1 and sales prices will be determined accordingly. Experts stated that these amounts shared with the public are important in terms of protecting farmers and ensuring sustainability in agricultural production.
