Yılmaz Morgül, one of the important names of Turkish classical music, came to the fore with his participation in Survivor. Morgül, who frequently made a name for herself with her performance in the competition, made remarkable statements after her elimination from the competition. Explaining the Survivor process in a program he attended, Morgül said that he initially made a two-week agreement for the competition, but Acun Ilıcalı kept him on the island for two and a half to three months.
HE DECIDED TO LEAVE THE ISLAND Stating that he had difficulty finding food on the island and was exhausted from hunger, Morgül explained his experiences with the following words: “I felt like I was going to die of hunger. I knelt at Acun Ilıcalı’s feet and said, ‘Mr. Acun, please give me a crumb.’ Then I was taken to the hospital.” Morgül also stated that he definitely decided to leave the island after he was hospitalized.
Describing the plan he made during this process, the famous artist used the following expressions: HE FORCED HIMSELF TO THE SMS VOTE “After I was hospitalized, I said to Acun Bey, ‘You are sending me right away.’ That week, three people had gone to the SMS vote. I said, ‘What are you doing, you are putting me among those three people and sending me away.’ “This is how I managed to leave the island.” The 62-year-old famous name remained on the agenda for a long time with his performance in Survivor and attracted the attention of millions of viewers.
