Allegedly, TFF was the target of criticism due to high hosting costs in EURO 2024. For this reason, it was claimed that the federation would demand thousands of dollars in fees from club presidents and their spouses who want to go to the 2026 World Cup.

While it was claimed that TFF sent an official letter to the clubs in professional leagues, it was stated that the presidents of the clubs who want to participate in the World Cup must pay a participation fee of 15 thousand dollars.
It was also claimed that if the presidents wanted to participate with their spouses, the total fee to be paid would increase up to 24 thousand dollars. IT IS AIMED TO KEEP COSTS UNDER CONTROL In addition, while it was claimed that the tickets to be allocated to the club presidents will be provided from the first category stands instead of the VIP protocol, it was stated that TFF aims to keep the organization costs under control with this decision.
It was also stated that a total of 250 tickets were allocated for the players and the technical staff to be used with their families, while a quota of 250 tickets was created for the sponsors. It was noted that TFF Board members have the right to 3 tickets per person.
