“There is a great success that deserves to be kissed…” “There is something about Gönül Dağı that makes people happy and heals…” “Unlike all TV series with guns exploding, it is as soft and gentle as a back slap… It stands tall on its own as an example of our elders asking if TV series were like this in our time…” “There is no gender discrimination. People are not evaluated according to their profession. No one is marginalized or labeled.

We are human beings and anything can happen to us. There is great solidarity in this series…” There is no mafia, no exploding guns…” Another master artist has joined Gönül Dağı, which has been breaking viewing records on TRT 1 screens for six years: Hülya Şen… Şen will portray the character ‘Nurten’ in the series she participated in the two hundred and ninth episode. Nurten, who left her little daughter and husband many years ago and went to the big city and was never heard from again, comes to Gedelli.

We will see how Esra, who knows that her mother died years ago, and Tekin, who abandoned her but could not find her trace despite a long search, will greet this unexpected guest and what will happen in the two hundred and ninth episode of Gönül Dağı, which will be broadcast on Saturday, March 14th. We chatted with Hülya Şen, who joined the Gönül Dağı family with the character of Nurten, about her new series and the character she will portray.

-You joined the Gönül Dağı family, which is watched with great interest every Saturday on TRT 1, in the sixth season. The audience will watch you as the character ‘Nurten’ in the two hundred and ninth episode. How did you feel when you were offered this role? -To be honest, I was both very happy and scared. Being a part of a success that has increased exponentially every week without lowering the bar for six seasons; There are difficulties in being included in this family.

As you embark on a new journey with your own character within this family, you wonder how the audience will embrace you. Adding a new layer to that bar is also a huge responsibility… -Nurten is Tekin’s wife, whom he abandoned years ago when his daughter Esra was a little baby. Will Nurten, who left her daughter and husband and settled in the big city to achieve her dreams, be able to find her home? Will Tekin and Esra be able to forgive him?

-Yes, Nurten had some dreams, goals, and conflicting points… It scared her that her own fate would be written by others. After all, these were the years when she was just stepping into young girlhood. We don’t know what he is going through emotionally. But no woman wants to abandon her child. What kind of psychology was he in? He certainly had valid reasons, and the sadness and remorse he had been suffering for years probably did not leave Nurten alone wherever he went…

He came back with the longing he felt to repair things, but let’s see if his son and wife can forgive him; I wonder about this too, and of course I want them to forgive me… Will he be able to atone for the anger and resentment he created in them? First of all, will Nurten be able to forgive herself when she sees the wounds she caused in her daughter’s heart? It is obvious that it will be a difficult process for all of them…

-Gönül Dağı is a series that families are passionate about, especially at a time when the same type of cliché scenarios are on the screens. Have you watched it before? Do you have friends with whom you have starred in this series before? What do you think are the reasons for the success of the series, which focuses on the world of each character and tells a warm and sincere story in the Anatolian steppe with its impressive scenario?

-When it was reported in the press that I was participating in this series, all my friends from every corner of Anatolia, from Ardahan to even England, came to me with laughing details about all the characters in the series, down to the smallest detail. Whether you are tired of clichés or that everyone finds something of their own, there is a great success to be admired. That’s why I congratulate my entire Gönül Dağı family.

As for me, due to our profession, we are usually shooting TV series on the set during the hours when the TV series are watched, and we do not have time to watch many TV series, but whenever I came across Mount Gönül, I always thought that I found healing. I stayed, I couldn’t pass, I stopped and listened. Gönül Mountain has a side that makes people happy and healing. Traces of my childhood. Traces of being the child of a tailor father and a tobacco worker mother.

Traces of growing up in a small district of Izmir like Urla Altındağ. It makes me feel like the happy days of my childhood; with simplicity, clarity, serenity…. Unlike all the gun-exploding TV series, it’s as soft and delicate as a slap in the face. It stands alone as an example of how our elders asked if TV series were like this in our time… “No one is marginalized… It is not labeled…” It is a series that embraces the values that we have all forgotten…

The advice and life lessons given to us by our grandmothers, grandfathers, great-grandmothers… There is no gender discrimination. People are not evaluated according to the profession they do. No one is marginalized or labeled. We are human beings and anything can happen to us. There is a great solidarity. There is a great solidarity. Where there is no distinction between rich and poor, everyone embraces everything with all their hearts, where the shortcomings are completed, where the people of the new world think that they are doing a good deed by sending their elders to a nursing home.

On the contrary, there are reunions from the years when their elders grew old surrounded by love by cultivating and reaping their lands… There are no shopping malls, for example, there are tradesmen, there are grocery stores, there are reunions from the years where young people or families were given the address of the coffee house, the bazaar or the market, “There is no mafia in this series, there are no exploding guns…” They try to make the dry and cold air of the steppe flourish, even if a bad person comes there.

They try to find the wound beneath the evil with love and goodness and heal this wound. That’s why there is no mafia or exploding guns in this series. All emotions of human psychology have a philosophy and you see this through the characters. When you understand why a character collects sun, why another collects and distributes the belongings of the dead, the wound inside that person, and the underlying philosophy, your heart flutters.

At that point, the audience is healed… It’s like therapy… When you hurt a person, a small piece of your Heart Mountain breaks off… Could there be a bigger, more beautiful expression than this? Finally, I would like to add that the music of the series and the inclusion of sayings from great poets and masters such as Yunus Emre are also very valuable… Well done to everyone who contributed.” Gönül Dağı will be on TRT1 with its 209th episode on Saturday, March 14 at 20.00…
