Defense Industry President Görgün examined MKE’s investment and production infrastructure on site

Presidency Defense Industry President Haluk Görgün examined the investment, modernization and production infrastructure works carried out in various facilities of Machinery and Chemical Industry Inc. (MKE) on site. According to the statement made by the Presidency, within the scope of the visit, ongoing activities in different areas, from production infrastructure to R&D studies, were evaluated. In the statement, it was emphasized that the work carried out in the field further enhanced Turkey’s production power, supply capability and strategic resilience in the defense industry.

In his statement regarding the visit, Haluk Görgün stated that MKE continues to play a critical role in the defense industry ecosystem with its deep-rooted production experience, and that the cooperation between SSB and MKE is of great importance in meeting the needs of the security forces and strengthening the domestic defense industry. Pointing out that the SSB approach is clear, Görgün stated that the main goal is to meet the systems needed by the security forces at the right time, with high reliability and with the highest possible localization rate.

Görgün stated that the investments carried out by MKE are an important part of this goal and noted that the development observed in the field shows that Turkey is moving towards a capacity that can respond to needs quickly, maintain its production agility in times of crisis and be a reliable solution partner in the international arena. Stating that success in the defense industry is the joint product of strong human resources, disciplined working approach and corporate determination, Görgün said, “I wholeheartedly congratulate the MKE management, our engineers, technicians, workers and all our colleagues who work in the field.” he said.

Görgün stated that the projects carried out with MKE will be continued with determination in the coming period, and the steps taken in line with the targets of production continuity, technological development and strong infrastructure in the defense industry will continue to be supported.
