Estonia has signed a new agreement with Lockheed Martin to purchase three additional M142 HIMARS multiple rocket launcher systems.
The contract signed by the Estonian Center for Defense Investments (ECDI); In addition to ammunition supply, it also includes an investment of approximately 11 million dollars in the Estonian defense industry.
Additional batteries are expected to be delivered in 2027.
This new supply, which follows the delivery of six previously delivered HIMARS systems, will further increase Estonia’s long-range precision strike capability.
The system, which provides precision attack opportunities at ranges over 300 kilometers, has a structure that is fully compatible with NATO forces.
According to Estonian officials, the agreement also includes provisions for developing in-country maintenance and repair capabilities for HIMARS components by involving local industry in the process.
