Hello, lazy Sarman cat Garfield’s relatively new movie has been released, I thought I would watch it, it was nice. Did it remain classic or was it completely different? Let me tell you right away: It was exactly as I expected! Classic Garfield The movie gives us the Garfield we know from start to finish: The lazy, lasagna-crazy cat who hates Mondays. Daily life with Jon, cat-dog fights with Odie, internal monologues…
It’s all in place. The animation is clean and the colors are vibrant. We have already gotten used to Chris Pratt’s voice, he is everywhere. But Garfield is childish, I wish they had made it more serious. Garfield’s childhood memories came flooding back and I wish it had been more serious. His Father Vic and the Dramatic Layer This is the most different part of the movie. Vic appears with the voice of Samuel L. Jackson.
Street cat, thief, a slightly cool but irresponsible father. There is emotional distance between them because she abandoned Garfield when he was a baby. Father-son conversations, the theme of forgiveness… It gets a little emotional in a few scenes, tears can fill your eyes. It makes Garfield a little deeper than just a funny cat. But the drama is not exaggerated, the classic humor is never distorted. The balance has been established well.
General Evaluation: The adventure part (the heist incident with Vic) is fun but forgettable. Jinx isn’t bad or anything, but it’s not deep. The movie is at the “average watchable, entertaining but doesn’t add anything” level. It doesn’t say anything new, it doesn’t create a revolution. It just offers the Garfield we love in beautiful packaging. 1 hour and 40 minutes, both children and adults can watch it comfortably.
It’s like a spin-off version of the Mario movie. Conclusion and Score If you grew up with Garfield as a child, definitely watch it, but it appeals to everyone, from the senile aunt to the illiterate baby. Nostalgia is high, smiles are guaranteed, lasagna scenes make you hungry, especially the scene where he says food at the beginning, I was very clear. Vic’s added layer makes the movie a little sweeter, but the classic spirit is never lost.
