A short film starring the GÖKBEY helicopter was prepared by the Gendarmerie General Command. According to the statement made by the General Command, the shooting of the short film featuring the GÖKBEY helicopter, produced with domestic and national resources, was shot at the Gendarmerie General Command Aviation Command. In the work, which includes animation and real images together, the developments in the defense industry are emphasized.
The short film begins with a helicopter tow truck searching for GÖKBEY to prepare it for flight. While the tow truck is searching for GÖKBEY, the dialogues between the foreign-origin “Mi-17”, “S-70” and the T-70 produced by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) are handled in a humorous manner. – The first 3 GÖKBEY helicopters produced were delivered to the gendarmerie. The first 3 GÖKBEY helicopters produced by TAI started their duty by joining the inventory of the Gendarmerie General Command, due to their contribution to its development.
There are currently 5 GÖKBEY helicopters at the disposal of the General Command.
