With the strategic alliance between ASELSAN and ARES Shipyard, Turkey’s deterrence at sea will increase. The design, construction and platform production responsibility of the TUFAN KİDA (Kamikaze Unmanned Marine Vehicle) project, which will be equipped with ASELSAN’s advanced technology autonomy, swarm intelligence and payload systems, was entrusted to ARES Shipyard. ARES Shipyard, which has undertaken the production responsibility of this critical platform with its experience in autonomous naval platforms; It is preparing to bring TUFAN, which stands out with its unique speed, agility and ability to operate in the swarm concept (Swarm USV), to the waters.
These kamikaze marine vehicles, which can act fully integrated with each other thanks to their swarm intelligence and carry out simultaneous attacks on the target at high speed, will be a critical asymmetric force multiplier in the Turkish seas. TUFAN, which can carry a high-explosive warhead, draws attention as an IDA that can operate in a swarm formation and has advanced situational awareness and autonomy capabilities.
TUFAN can be used to neutralize surface targets or platforms as well as critical facilities on the coastline. TUFAN, which can be deployed individually or in a swarm formation for reconnaissance, surveillance and intelligence missions, can perform different tasks by creating asymmetrical attack formations and task-specific subgroups. The system, which can autonomously avoid moving and fixed obstacles, also offers image-based target detection and engagement capability.
TUFAN will be a force multiplier in the Blue Homeland with its advanced situational awareness, autonomy, as well as high speed and maneuverability. In addition to its high-explosive warhead, TUFAN, which can perform autonomous navigation and mission execution in a swarm formation, has image-based target detection and engagement capabilities. 📌High speed TUFAN KİDA is entrusted to ARES Shipyard (@ARESShipyard)! 📌ARES Shipyard took responsibility for the design, construction and platform production of the TUFAN KİDA (Kamikaze Unmanned Marine Vehicle) project.
