Stating that the company’s prominent projects include the patented “modular ground-covered smart ammunition depot”, Koyuncu stated that R&D studies on this product continue and that a patent has been obtained for each new design developed. Talking about self-propelled container carrier vehicles, Koyuncu said, “It is a system that can move with its own propulsion without the need for a normal truck or tow truck. This has also been patented and is still in use.” he said.
Strategic Projects and Critical Collaborations Stating that they have undertaken strategic projects and critical collaborations, Koyuncu said: “There is a product we designed for the Naval Forces and we evaluate that it will significantly affect the future of the country. We are working on a very important product that will affect the country’s defense, especially in times of war. We will be able to announce this after completing the project with the Presidency of Defense Industries.
Apart from this, we have projects such as standard command centers and military living spaces. These are shaped according to need and delivered to the relevant authorities. Our company’s machinery includes CNC cutting machines, plasma cutting machines, press brakes and forklifts. Our need for forklifts is quite high because we use forklifts frequently in the factory since the products we produce are bulky. Apart from this, classical welding machines, cutting and shaping machines are also available.
The main institutions we supply are: Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Air Force Command, Land Forces Command, Naval Forces Command and sub-branches of all force commands (Army Aviation, Maritime, etc.). In addition to these institutions, we also work with semi-private institutions ROKETSAN, ASELSAN, HAVELSAN, TUSAŞ. We have also been the supplier of BAYKAR for years; both at home and abroad.
For example, we also provide ammunition depots to the countries that supply UAVs. Just as ammunition is delivered from ROKETSAN, ammunition depots are also delivered as our depots. In other words, exports are carried out together as a package of products.” Products Awarded by NATO Koyuncu stated that the company’s products are actively used both in domestic and international operations; Hundreds of products served in the field in cross-border operations; He stated that many deliveries were made to NATO: “We delivered hundreds of products in operations carried out domestically, especially in border areas (for example, in the Syrian Operation), and these are still used.
We also supplied hundreds of products to NATO. Our product was even taken to a NATO exercise and we were invited too. We, as civilians among military personnel, also introduced our product there. Our generals introduced our product to the generals of other countries. After the exercise, the product received an award. For this reason, our activities in the field of defense industry have increased considerably in the last ten years.” Huge Increase in Exports Koyuncu Defense, which has seriously increased its export performance in recent years, said that it has sent products to many countries, especially Azerbaijan, Somalia, Kenya, Rwanda, Bangladesh, Libya and Cyprus.
