GAZİANTEP (AA) – Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır stated that they increased the number of factories producing in OIZs from 11 thousand to 61 thousand and the number of employees from 415 thousand to 2 million 700 thousand, and said, “Thus, we implemented the development with an understanding that will cover all four corners of Anatolia.” he said. Minister Kacır attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Metropolitan Industrial Center (BUSEM) Truck Purchase-Selling Industrial Site turnkey and Slippers and Sneakers Industrial Site 2nd Stage.
In his speech here, Kacır said, “This is the AK understanding of municipalism. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s companions are like this. They never know what it is to stop, what it is to get tired. The only thing they know is to be the servant of the noble Turkish nation. One of the best examples of this is Kuzeyşehir, which was implemented under the leadership of our Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, and is a project that proves this.” he said.
Stating that housing projects will be implemented in the organized industrial zone in the near future, Kacır said: “We will offer the most suitable living conditions to our brothers and sisters working in OIZs. We do all this with the following claim. We are a strong state, a strong nation. Now we are on the stage of history again, and this time we are much stronger and more assertive than before. Of course, what makes us strong is our stance, our leader, and our claim of the Türkiye Century.
But besides this, of course, the capability we have achieved in production, the gains we have achieved in technology, and the national technology move we have implemented. Our claim to be a country that can develop, produce and competitively present its own technology to the world without relying on anyone else, that is, our national technology move. We are trying to further increase our production power. For this reason, we are implementing our development journey not only in our western provinces, but also all over Turkey, from north to south, from west to east, with an understanding that will encompass all of our 81 cities.” Stating that regional centers are valuable, Kacır said, “During our administration, we increased the number of organized industrial zones in Turkey from 191 to 373.
We increased the number of factories producing in OIZs from 11 thousand to 61 thousand. We increased the number of employees from 415 thousand to 2 million 700 thousand. Thus, we implemented development with an understanding that will cover all four corners of Anatolia.” he said. Mentioning that Gaziantep is the shining star of the region, Kacır continued: “There are 7 OIZs in Gaziantep and nearly 300 thousand of our brothers and sisters are employed.
Here we have industrialists and entrepreneurs who export to all over the world and achieve export success of over 10 billion dollars. They are our source of pride, but we know that we must include all our tradesmen in this journey with the understanding of clustering, as well as our organized industrial zone. We are a distributed production that is part of the same network.” “We must work smartly. That’s why this project is so valuable.
The clustering that will be formed here will increase our competitiveness in all sectors. And hopefully, we will increase our exports from 10 billion dollars to 20-30 billion dollars.” Noting that industrialists from Gaziantep will reach the world faster with the Amanos tunnels and that the project is revolutionary, Kacır pointed out that there has been a break in world history and said, “As the central country of stability, Turkey will become the rising address of the region with its production power.” he said.
Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin also said that the city’s economy will become stronger with investments. BUSEM Truck Purchase-Sell Collective Workplace Cooperative President Mustafa Yağmurlu stated that the project covers 45 workplaces and that each workplace consists of more than 2 thousand square meters of area, 160 of which are closed, and thanked those who contributed. The keys were delivered to the beneficiaries at the ceremony.
