Advanced Multi-Purpose UAV Platform KORGAN, also called “drone box”, which allows drones to operate 24/7 without human intervention, was delivered to its first user. As the field of use of unmanned systems expands, the need for solutions that will enable these platforms to operate autonomously also increases. Pacific Technology subsidiary SAVX Technology responds to this need with the “smart drone box” KORGAN it developed and continues to expand its product family with new versions.
KORGAN-M was first put into use within the defense industry. Deliveries will continue for KORGAN-M and its smaller version, KORGAN-S, to different users for military and civilian needs. Negotiations are also ongoing for the export of the systems. SAVX Technology Founder Abdullah Aktaş, in his statement to the AA correspondent, said that they had been working on KORGAN for a long time and that the new generation model was on the field after the first versions.
Giving information about the development of the product, Aktaş said: “At first, we had the first version, which we called KORGAN-M. Now we have released MV-2. We are improving the product with continuous revisions.” You deploy this product anywhere in the field, eliminating the need for humans. “The drone itself gets up from the box, performs its task automatically, settles back into its box autonomously and waits ready for the next mission.” Tasks are becoming automatic.
Aktaş stated that the KORGAN system not only provides drone protection but also automates operational tasks. Explaining that the system can be controlled over the internet or private networks and can perform time-based tasks, Aktaş said, “For example, you wanted it to patrol somewhere at 7 am tomorrow morning. Even if you are not in charge, the system itself gets up and carries out its patrols. It records your videos and data.
“You can come back and watch it later.” he said. Stating that they are working on another version called KORGAN-S, Aktaş shared that this model was developed for both military and civilian use. Aktaş said, “It is a system that can be used to ensure the security of energy facilities, gas fields and critical infrastructures. “We describe it as smaller, more practical and modular.” he said. Pointing out that there have been important developments on the kamikaze drone solution MERKÜT side, Aktaş said that after the first introduction of the system, important progress has been made in both the testing and delivery processes.
Aktaş continued his words as follows: “MERKÜT is our product that we can call our flagship. We have left behind the tests, domestic and international demonstration activities, mass production and inventory process. We have made deliveries to two different countries. Again, we have worked in 5 different countries with MERKÜT so far. With the new order we received, we increased our production capacity, prepared our infrastructure, and will continue production quickly.” Source: AA
