BEST Group, which operates in the field of armoring and defense technologies in Turkey under the umbrella of Tera Holding, and Base Studio, an Italy-based military vehicle engineering company, signed a cooperation agreement in the field of defense technologies and vehicle design. At the ceremony held at the Base Studio stand at the SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aerospace Industry Fair hosted by Istanbul Expo Center, the parties signed the memorandum of understanding covering defense technologies and vehicle design.
Within the scope of the agreement, it is planned that the parties will work together on new generation vehicle designs, engineering solutions and product development processes for international markets. The cooperation aims to develop solutions for end-user needs and increase export-oriented projects in the defense industry. Making a statement at the ceremony, Tera Holding Chairman Emre Tezmen stated that Turkey has become not only a country that meets its own needs in the defense industry, but also a strong production center that attracts attention in the world with the technologies it has developed.
Tezmen emphasized that the strategic cooperation signed between BEST Group and Base Studio is one of the important indicators of the level reached by Turkish engineering and said: “We will continue to develop new generation technologies by combining our domestic production power with the international engineering vision. Every strong step taken in the defense industry contributes to Turkey’s independent production capacity and national technology vision.
The signed agreement covers carrying out joint studies in the fields of defense technologies, military vehicle engineering, new generation armored vehicle designs and vehicle design. With this cooperation, we will meet the needs of the end user in the field.” It is aimed to develop stronger solutions that can respond quickly, in terms of security, durability and operational efficiency, while also aiming to introduce new products to international markets that will contribute to Turkey’s defense industry exports.
