DÜZCE (AA) – 32-year-old Federico Pagano, who set out from Italy to Japan on his bicycle about 2 months ago, reached Düzce after covering more than 3 thousand kilometers. Pagano, who worked in a hotel in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, where he went in 2023 to learn the language, returned to his country in 2025. Pagano, who wants to introduce his beloved Japanese culture to the world through social media and work in the tourism sector in this country again, set off from Milan on his bike about 2 months ago.
Pagano reached Düzce by pedaling approximately 3 thousand kilometers and visited Düzce Bicycle Club. Pagano, who was welcomed here by the club president Birol Aksu, told reporters that he has been passionate about cycling since his childhood. Stating that he has a special love and sympathy for Japan, Pagano said, “I am on a journey from Milan to Tokyo.” I have done cycling tours in the past. For years, I have wanted to cross Japan and even China by bike.
I thought now was the best time to set off from Milan and go to Tokyo. I share my journey on social media and hope that job opportunities will arise in the future that will allow me to do what I want to do. I want to work in the field of tourism and organize tours for Italians in Japan. he said. Aksu stated that they will host Federico in Düzce today and said, “We have guests coming from abroad on their bicycles 3-4 times a year.” Federico is one of them.
