ISTANBUL (AA) – The fire that broke out on a boat in Beşiktaş was extinguished by land and sea intervention. A fire broke out in the engine compartment of a 20-meter-long boat providing Bosphorus tour services off Bebek Beach, for an unknown reason. Upon notice, the General Directorate of Coastal Safety, Coast Guard, fire brigade, police and medical teams were dispatched to the region. Two people on the boat went ashore with their own means.
The fire was extinguished by the intervention of the teams from sea and land, and the boat was damaged. The traffic congestion on Cevdet Paşa Street due to the fire returned to normal after the fire crews completed their work.
