Makina ve Kimya Endüstrisi AŞ (MKE) will introduce the new products it has developed at SAHA 2026, Europe’s largest defense and aerospace fair. SAHA 2026, which starts tomorrow, will include manned and unmanned systems developed by MKE. In this context, the 105 millimeter URAN Vehicle Mounted Howitzer, which will be exhibited for the first time, aims to offer speed, flexibility and high fire support to artillery units in difficult terrain and weather conditions by combining fire power with a 4×4 mobile platform.
Integrated into the Fire Control System developed by MKE, the URAN weapon system can fire 12 shots per minute and successfully hit targets up to 18 kilometers away. Offering high firepower, ATTİLA 155 millimeter Vehicle Mounted Howitzer, another product developed by MKE, will stand out as a new generation artillery that meets the high mobility, fast deployment and effective fire support needs of the modern battlefield.
While ATTİLA offers high firepower with a rate of 6 shots per minute with a 52 caliber 155 millimeter barrel, it has the capacity to carry 38 ammunition and 3 illumination and smoke bullets. In addition, ATTİLA, integrated on a 6×6 tactical wheeled vehicle, offers high strategic and tactical freedom of movement with a maximum speed of 85 kilometers per hour and an operational range of 850 kilometers. It can operate in difficult terrains.
The ALPAY-2 Mine Lands Passage Opening System, developed by MKE for mined lands, was developed with local and national resources so that motorized troops and pedestrian elements can safely move to the targeted area in mined lands. The system, which has a 100 percent electric motor and is located on an armored vehicle, can function effectively against all anti-tank and anti-personnel mines. MKE ALPAY-2, which can also be remotely controlled unmanned, weighs 18 tons and can reach an operational range of 750 kilometers with generator support.
The vehicle, which has the ability to operate in harsh climatic conditions, can climb steep slopes, pass through ditches and reach the desired location safely. ALPAY-2 also has multiple firing capability thanks to the 2 ammunition cassettes it carries. A large amount of explosives contained in each cassette are launched to the detected mined areas with the help of a rocket and detonated remotely, ensuring that the area is cleared of threats.
The system, which can be remotely controlled from a distance of up to 3 kilometers, creates a safe corridor by successfully neutralizing mines 1 meter underground in an area of 10 meters wide and 100 meters long in mined areas.
