OPPO has opened applications for the OPPO 2026 Photography Awards, its global competition focusing on mobile photography and visual storytelling. While the scope of the competition was expanded this year, the Super Video category was included in the program for the first time. The total prize pool was announced as 76,500 dollars. Based on last year’s theme of “Super Every Moment”, the competition is organized with a broader structure in the 2026 edition, showing that mobile content production is no longer limited to photography alone.
The newly added Super Video category focuses on the current state of video production with smartphones; The Super Zoom category will also highlight creative shots captured with advanced zoom technologies. OPPO 2026 Photography Awards are Held in Six Categories.OPPO Photography Awards 2026 has reached a total of six categories by adding Super Video and Super Zoom titles to the Journey, Me, Live and Snap categories. Thus, the competition offers a wider creative field, covering both traditional mobile photography and short video production.
Gold, Silver and Bronze awards will be given in the main categories of the competition. In addition, there will be different award titles such as Honorable Mention, Regional Awards and People’s Choice. With this structure, OPPO aims to make visible not only technically successful works but also original stories from different geographies. Discovery Channel Support for Video ProducersOne of the notable innovations of this year was the Filmmaker Accelerator Program prepared in cooperation with Discovery Channel.
Within the scope of the program, mentorship, production support and short film production opportunities will be provided to the names to be selected among the content producers participating in the Super Video category. According to OPPO’s statement, the competition aims to go beyond just being a platform that distributes awards. While OPPO Imaging Academy provides training content for the more effective use of mobile photo and video technologies, the OPPO Creators Program will offer visibility, collaboration and professional equipment support to successful producers.
More Space from OPPO to Young Creators. OPPO Overseas CMO Ling Liu stated that the competition has turned into a global platform for mobile content producers in the last four years. Liu emphasized that supporting young creators in particular is one of the main goals of the competition. The company states that smartphone users are increasingly embracing video content as a powerful storytelling tool. OPPO also states that its collaboration with Hasselblad contributes to users in producing more original and powerful visual stories with mobile devices.
