Pushing the conventional boundaries of the digital game world and using the raw reality of real life instead of CGI technology, Wordless Forest invites players to a dark adventure where there are no words, only survival instincts speak. This production, which was brought to life by independent developer Doğuş Çağrıcı as a result of two and a half years of effort, is preparing to meet players on Steam on August 24, 2026.
This “live-action” interactive thriller game is not just a software project; It also stands out as the purest form of man’s physical and spiritual struggle against nature. Real Danger and Zero Dialogue Wordless Forest, as its name suggests, has a completely dialogue-free structure. Players determine a character’s fate in the wild with the A/B choices they make on-screen. In this survival simulation with 4 different endings, whether the character survives or not depends entirely on the player’s instincts.
However, what really makes this project “unique” is that no shooting crew, production equipment or studio tricks were used during the production phase. There is only one name sitting in the director’s chair, writing the script, setting the camera and playing the leading role: Doğuş Çağrıcı. The images shot with autonomous DJI drone systems and action cameras give the viewer the feeling of watching a real survival test rather than a fiction.
4 Cities and 40 Days Wildlife Exam The atmosphere in which the game takes place was created with images compiled from Turkey’s most challenging geographies. 4 different cities, ranging from the huge Yenice block forests of Karabük to the freezing rivers of Muğla, from the cliff edges of Antalya to the deserted steppes of Central Anatolia, constitute the huge “engine” of the game. Producer Çağrıcı states that he traveled for kilometers with heavy camera equipment on his back during the shooting and camped alone for 40 days in areas where bears and wild boars are active.
The fatigue, tremors and pain seen on screen are not just an acting performance; It is an exact reflection of the shooting in freezing waters and the struggle on steep rocks. A Story of Seclusion and Dedication The producer, who has been curating independent games on an anonymous page for eight years, comes out of the shadows and presents his vision to the world with Wordless Forest. Çağrıcı, who acted with such uncompromising discipline as to gather all his equipment and travel to a different city in order to shoot a single “river sequence” in the script in the right atmosphere, summarizes the isolation he experienced during the kitchen phase of the project with the following words: “I wanted the loneliness you see on the screen to reflect my absolute isolation in the real world.” The production, which will come to the PC platform with support for 29 different languages, is a candidate to be one of the boldest projects connecting the interactive cinema and the game world.
