The General Directorate of Meteorology warned of thunderstorms, storms and strong winds for many cities.

Sharing the updated weather forecast report dated May 31, the General Directorate of Meteorology announced that sunny and partly cloudy weather will prevail in many parts of the country, but heavy rain, strong winds and storms will be effective in some regions. According to the data shared by the meteorology, thunderstorms are expected especially in the coastal parts of the Black Sea and the northeastern regions of Eastern Anatolia.

While it is predicted that the rain will be heavy in places, meteorologists asked citizens to be careful and cautious against sudden floods, inundations and transportation disruptions. THUNDER SHOWERS WILL BE EFFECTIVE. In this context, local showers and thunderstorms are expected in Kırklareli in the afternoon and evening hours. Local showers and thunderstorms will be effective in Düzce and Kastamonu at night. While intermittent showers and occasional thunderstorms are expected in Artvin, intermittent showers are expected to be effective in Trabzon.

In Kars, intermittent showers are expected in the afternoon. On the other hand, the wind is expected to blow at 40 to 60 kilometers per hour in the southeastern parts of Eastern Anatolia and the east of Southeastern Anatolia. Meteorology warned citizens against possible disruptions in transportation due to roof flying, trees and poles falling down due to strong winds. TEMPERATURES WILL BE ABOVE SEASONAL NORMALIES The General Directorate of Meteorology announced that the rainy system will leave most of the country between 00.00 and 06.00 on Monday, June 1, 2026.

According to the institution, light showers will be seen only in the Central and Eastern Black Sea in the first hours of the new week. In addition, the weather is expected to be slightly cloudy and clear in the central and western parts of the new week. Meteorologists reported that temperatures will remain around seasonal norms.
