Anadolu Defense introduced the new generation tactical wheeled vehicles it developed within the scope of SAHA Expo International Defense, Aerospace Industry Fair held between 5-9 May. The company, operating within the Anadolu Group, attracted attention at the fair with its SEYİT 4×4 platform, which was developed especially for difficult terrain conditions. Anadolu Defense operates in the 4×4, 6×6 and 8×8 tactical wheeled vehicle segments; It carries out design, production and development studies for different user needs with armored and unarmored, double cabin and single cabin options.
SEYİT 4×4, introduced at the fair, stands out with its high mobility and heavy load carrying capacity. While the vehicle has a 280 horsepower engine, it offers a load carrying capacity of 8 tons in the armored version and up to 10 tons in the unarmored version. The platform has the ability to climb a 60 percent steep slope, progress on a 30 percent side slope and pass through 1000 mm of water. The vehicle also provides operational use between -32°C and 55°C, allowing it to operate in harsh climatic conditions.
Speaking to Defensehere.com microphones, Anadolu Defense Project Manager Turan Yılmaz stated that the localization rate of the vehicle has reached a remarkable level and said: “When we look at the localization level, we can say that it has reached approximately 100. Apart from the transmission and engine, our vehicle is one of the vehicle groups with the highest localization level. The engine carrying and weight carrying level of our armored vehicle is eight tons, but in the unarmored version, it goes up to ten tons.
Currently, the 8×8 version of the Seyit product family of this vehicle is TSK.” “The electronic systems, digital screens and all of them in our vehicle are created with our own software by our R&D staff. I can say that our foreign dependency is zero there.” Company officials state that the SEYIT product family has been developed to be used not only in logistics tasks but also in different military operation scenarios.
The vehicle also offers various options such as central tire inflation system (CTIS), run-flat tire infrastructure, independent suspension option and armored cabin. The solutions exhibited by Anadolu Defense at the fair are among the new generation tactical vehicle projects developed in line with the targets of domestic engineering and high localization rate in Turkey’s defense industry.
