Festival of Football content from Football Ultimate Team starts on June 4. Rewards up to 2,500 Tokens will be content that requires accumulation throughout the season. With Season 8, FUT Champions Tokens and FUT Champions Store will also be added to the game. This store will feature special red FUT Champions player cards that change every week. The Event Hub called Journey of Nations also opens during the Festival of Football season. In this content, players will form internationally themed squads in weekly missions across five continents.
EA will offer more than 250 challenges throughout the season. In the calendar, North America will start on June 4, Asia and Oceania on June 12, Africa on June 19, South America on June 26, and Europe on July 3. More than 100 new international player cards will be added to the FUT player pool throughout the summer. Rivellino and Mario Kempes also join the game as two new ICONs. Base versions will be included in packages starting from June 26. Five main campaigns will be published within the scope of the Festival of Football. Path To Glory will launch between June 5th and June 19th and will bring live player cards that evolve based on international matches. Greats of the Game will add Rivellino and Mario Kempes to the game with special ICON versions between June 19 and June 26. Glory Hunters will offer PlayStyle customization on select player cards between June 26 and July 10.
The Phenoms will focus on young players and newcomers to the tournament scene between July 10 and July 17. Summer Stars will be published as the final campaign of the season between July 17 and July 24. Showdowns, Star Performers and National Pride programs will also be among the recurring content throughout the event. On the gameplay side, balance changes have been made to Bruiser and Bruiser features. Bruiser effect has been slightly reduced in shoulder to shoulder combat.
Enforcer or ball carriers with the Enforcer trait will receive additional resistance in these fights. A new limited-time event called Penalty Shootouts will start in EA SPORTS FC 26 starting from June 28th. This event can be played in Football Ultimate Team and Kick-Off modes.
