ANKARA (AA) – Anadolu Agency (AA) prepared the Palestine Dictionary book consisting of 1860 pages. Prepared by the AA Publications Directorate and 273 academics and researchers from different fields of science, the Palestine Dictionary will meet with readers as the product of two years of effort. While the book contains 630 articles and over 700 references, it offers a user-friendly approach with reading guides, associations between articles, and reading suggestions.
The book, which aims to guide reading groups by appealing to readers of all levels and to make the work of researchers easier, offers its answers in alphabetical order to readers looking for answers to basic questions about Palestine. Aiming to provide an understandable guide to the literature and to reach as many people as possible, the work will contribute to the fight against information pollution in the field, deconstruct distorted concepts put into use for certain purposes, exemplify the appropriate use of concepts in a rich range of subjects, increase public awareness by adhering to ethical values, constitute a reference source to access accurate information on historical and current issues, reveal the relationships between historical and current events or concepts, and be a reference source for those who want to approach research on the subject with the right method.

The Palestine Dictionary book not only explains basic concepts but also provides a systematic information map that allows the reader to understand Palestine in all its dimensions. Going beyond the classical dictionary concept, the work consists of 630 articles, each prepared with the meticulousness of an academic article, in 15 different editorial fields from law to economy, from culture to art.
Covering a wide range from historical events to important figures, from legal concepts to cultural works, the Dictionary offers a perspective that will enable the reader to understand Palestine from different aspects by addressing the Palestine issue in a historical and conceptual framework. In the work, historical events that are distorted or covered up due to Zionist propaganda are told accurately, based on sources.
The articles, which are handled with an interdisciplinary and holistic perspective, are carefully connected to each other. In each article, written as a short article, the information given is based on references and a bibliography is included at the end of the articles. The work also includes Arabic, English, French and German equivalents of each article. – A web page will also be prepared. Palestine Dictionary is a product of AA’s responsible journalism approach, which previously demonstrated its stance on this issue with the Gaza Trilogy consisting of Evidence, Witness and Defendant.
The work, which is the first in its field, is an indispensable resource not only for academics, researchers and students, but also for everyone who wants to understand the Palestine issue correctly. Additionally, the web page of the Palestine Dictionary will be prepared and updated quarterly.
