ASELSAN, which carries out effective activities in environmental protection and waste management, sets an example for Turkey with its determined sustainability efforts. ASELSAN, an environmentally friendly technology company, continues its efforts to prevent waste, use resources more efficiently, minimize waste generation and ensure recycling. ASELSAN, which ranked first in the BIST Sustainability 25 Index created by Borsa Istanbul with the high performance achieved in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria in 2025, the 50th anniversary of ASELSAN’s establishment, is successfully implementing the road map created within the framework of the “2050 net zero emission target” it received in 2021.
Electricity and water savings ASELSAN produced approximately 1,808,000 kWh of renewable energy from the renewable energy systems commissioned in 2024 at the Gölbaşı Technology Base. ASELSAN, which doubled the square meters of green space per employee in all technology bases, saved 5,250 tons of water in 2025 alone. ASELSAN, which started CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) Water Reporting in 2021, continues its efforts to reduce water consumption and ensure water recycling by introducing the ISO 46001 Water Efficiency Management System Standard to the company.
ASELSAN has been a leader in supply chain climate change management by receiving A grade from CDP for years. ASELSAN was ranked at the SEA A List level again this year in the Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA) evaluation carried out by CDP at the beginning of March. Net Zero Emission for the Year 2050 ASELSAN, with its corporate sustainability approach, undertakes many projects, especially the Zero Waste Project and the “Eco School”, which has started the implementation process in its kindergartens and nurseries, in order to leave a more livable world to future generations.
ASELSAN, which has been evaluating sustainability at the corporate level since 2021, brought together sustainability strategy and art with the “An Forward Transforming Future Project” that it implemented on its 50th anniversary. With the aselsanXt program, ASELSAN created the 2050 Net Zero Emission Road Map, which includes short, medium and long-term targets under the umbrella of aBusiness. ASELSAN, which provides savings through energy efficient investments, earned the Istanbul Technopark Building the LEED Certificate in 2025, with the principle of energy efficiency adopted in new buildings and the philosophy of producing environmentally friendly buildings that can produce their own energy.
