DASAL Aviation Technologies, which specializes in multi-rotor and sub-cloud unmanned aerial vehicles operating in the tactical field, signed a Framework Supply, Local Assembly and Conditional Technology Cooperation Agreement with the Nigeria-based company NIGUS within the scope of SAHA 2026. SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aerospace Industry Fair is held at Istanbul Expo Center with the organization of SAHA Istanbul, the largest defense, aviation and space industry cluster of Turkey and Europe.
Turkish defense industry companies are signing various agreements at SAHA 2026, where Anadolu Agency is the Global Communication Partner. The agreement signed between DASAL Aviation Technologies and NIGUS at the fair lays the foundations of a permanent defense cooperation infrastructure in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) region, as well as the strategic system supply for approved official end users.
The supply package within the scope of the contract consists of 100 thousand DASAL MIKON Kamikaze UAVs, 200 DASAL FALCON R556 and 100 DASAL PUHU Cargo UAV systems with proven operational success in the field. The agreement goes beyond pure platform exports and also covers the building of local defense industry capabilities in Nigeria. The local assembly, system integration and comprehensive maintenance and repair overhaul (MRO) infrastructure, which will be gradually implemented during the period in which NIGUS will serve as the strategic platform coordinator, will enable the Nigerian Armed Forces to reach uninterrupted cyclical logistics support and the highest level of combat readiness.
“Our goal is to maximize the force multiplier effect of the Nigerian Armed Forces in the field.” DASAL General Manager Kutay Çağıl Büyüköztürk, whose views were included in the company’s statement, said that the contract they signed with NIGUS is the international registration of the cost-effective striking power of their system, which has proven its maturity in under-cloud operations, in asymmetric warfare. Stating that they have built a dominant defense technologies and logistics sustainment base in Africa while adding kamikaze and cargo UAVs, which increase the operational speed of soldiers in the tactical field, to their allied inventories, Büyüköztürk said, “Our aim is to maximize the force multiplier effect of the Nigerian Armed Forces in the field with a disciplined integration and uncompromising technical support strategy.” he said.
NIGUS International Investment Limited Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Executive Officer Malik Ado-Ibrahim stated that securing the future of their nation requires visionary partnerships and technological independence and said, “This strategic coordination we have established with DASAL is a paradigm shift in the approach to modern defense procurement in Nigeria and the wider ECOWAS region. Going beyond traditional procurement, it focuses on gradual local assembly and integration capabilities.
Thus, we are building an industrial base based on high technology. Bringing the engineering power of DASAL’s multi-rotor platforms to Nigerian territory will improve regional security and regional security.” “It is a strategic step towards ensuring long-term operational flexibility.” made his assessment.
