Presidency’s Defense Industry President (SSB) Haluk Görgün watched on-site the demonstration activity carried out by Skydagger, the FPV kamikaze drone manufacturer supported by Baykar. According to the statement made by SSB, Görgün stated that entrepreneurial and engineering-oriented companies that go beyond the classical production approach in the defense industry play an important role in Turkey’s technological transformation.
Stating that Skydagger is not only a structure that responds to current needs, but also a company that closely monitors technological developments in the world and directs the future with its engineering ability and entrepreneurial spirit, Görgün noted that the production approach put forward by the company is remarkable in terms of the development of the defense industry. Görgün stated that the successfully carried out testing and development activities made a significant contribution to Turkey’s domestic and national defense technology targets.
Haluk Görgün made the following evaluations: “I would like to congratulate and thank the valuable representatives of the stakeholders who contributed to Skydagger’s meaningful activity today for their support in this event that will contribute to the development of our country in this field. I personally visited the production facilities. As I expressed in the meetings we held with the general managers of our major companies at the Presidency of Defense Industries after my visit, I try to explain everywhere the agile approach I saw there, the innovative perspective that can be used at every production level, and how good an example it is for the transformation of strategic production facilities in case – God forbid – one day it is needed.
Thank God, with this young team and this vision, we are proud of the point we have reached in the defense industry in line with the targets set by our President. We wholeheartedly believe that we will write a new story with our innovative approaches that carry the Turkish brand to the future, our unmanned aerial vehicles and especially our kamikaze system drones like this Skydagger.” Görgün stated that they will continue to provide strong support to studies that will take the Turkish defense industry’s innovative, agile and high-technology-oriented approach to further levels.
Skydagger started operations in 2024 for the production of FPV kamikaze drones, which are used as if they were inside the drone through glasses or a screen. Skydagger, which creates a product family with solutions in different sizes, has reached a very serious production capacity with the investments it has made in a short time.
