The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that it signed a $48 million agreement with Israel-based Elbit Systems to purchase tens of thousands of 155 mm artillery ammunition.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that it signed a $48 million agreement with Israel-based Elbit Systems to purchase tens of thousands of 155 mm artillery ammunition.

According to The Times of Israel newspaper, the Ministry of Defense signed an agreement with Elbit Systems to purchase tens of thousands of 155 mm artillery ammunition “in line with the Israeli army’s quest to increase its preparedness for ongoing attacks.”

The ammunition in question will be produced in Elbit Systems’ facilities across the country “in order to meet the demand of the Israeli army” within the scope of the 48 million dollar agreement.

The Israeli army, which continues its air strikes against Iran, started ground attacks in southern Lebanon on March 16.
