US automotive manufacturer Ford announced that it will focus more on electric cars and decided to end the production of its best-selling model, Fiesta.
Making a statement on the subject, Ford Europe President Martin Sander said: “We are accelerating our work within the scope of our goal of electrifying all our passenger cars in the European market by 2030. In this context, we will end the production of the S-Max and Galaxy models we produce in Spain in April 2023, and the production of the Fiesta we produce in Germany in June 2023.” he said.
Sander stated that they will introduce new models, “We will introduce 3 new electric passenger models and 4 new electric commercial models in 2024. Starting from 2026, we plan to sell 600 thousand electric cars per year in Europe. We will produce 1.2 million electric cars in our factory in Germany in 6 years.”“ shared his information.
