John Cockerill announced that he signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with FNSS to increase cooperation in armored vehicle systems, explore joint development opportunities and expand access to new international markets. The Belgian Economic Mission, under the leadership of John Cockerill, the Queen of Belgium and accompanied by high-ranking Belgian officials, including Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Prévot and Minister of Defense Theo Francken, held important contacts in Turkey.

The mission focused on strengthening cooperation in the energy, industry and defense sectors. Within the scope of the program, meetings were held with Tosyalı Holding, a diversified industrial group, and a visit was organized to the production facilities of BMC Automotive in Turkey, allowing the delegation to examine the industrial and production capacities on site. In the energy sector, the delegation held a round table meeting with the Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, and discussed potential cooperation and investment opportunities, in addition to meetings with the Turkish Electricity Producers Association.

In the defense sector, the delegation visited FNSS Defense Systems Inc. This visit once again revealed the long-term industrial relationship between the two companies, which started with the supply of John Cockerill systems to FNSS for the first time nearly forty years ago. John Cockerill also announced that he signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with FNSS to increase cooperation in armored vehicle systems, explore joint development opportunities and expand access to new international markets.

This agreement is aimed to further strengthen the industrial cooperation between the two parties. The company stated that the agreement aims to deepen industrial integration and support the faster and more efficient delivery of advanced solutions to global defense markets.
