High-performance vehicles developed to meet the logistics needs of security forces in the most challenging conditions will be introduced at SAHA 2026. SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aerospace Industry Fair, organized by SAHA Istanbul, Turkey’s and Europe’s largest defense, aviation and space industry cluster, will be held at Istanbul Expo Center on 5-9 May. In the eighth news of Anadolu Agency’s file titled “The heart of technology will beat in the FIELD”, heavy logistics and tactical vehicles to be exhibited at the fair by Koluman Automotive within the Turkish defense industry were included.

Koluman Automotive will introduce two different segments of its DERMAN and KISRAK vehicles, focusing on operational efficiency and personnel safety, at SAHA 2026. In this context, the DROPS and Armored AKTAN concepts and the 8×8 DERMAN Tow Truck, the tractor version of the DERMAN vehicle in active duty in the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces, will be exhibited at the fair. DERMAN Tow Vehicle is configured to provide high-capacity logistics support for the transportation of main battle tanks and heavy tracked military platforms.

The towing vehicle uses an OM473 engine that produces 625 HP (460 kW). Turbo Retarder Clutch (TRC) technology is included in the transmission system to increase take-off and navigation safety under heavy loads. The platform, which has a towing capacity of up to 250 tons, was designed to minimize the need for resupply in long-distance operational areas with its fuel tank exceeding 1000 liters. Developed to meet stringent military standards, the vehicle provides continuity in off-road conditions with a 60 percent climbing slope and the ability to pass through water up to 1200 mm deep.

The vehicle, which has dimming lights and rear view cameras as standard in NATO standards, can be configured with armored cabin protection and CBRN filtration systems as needed. Evacuation with KISRAK from terrains where standard vehicles cannot pass. The KISRAK platform, which has been featured in previous fairs with its personnel carrier version, will be exhibited for the first time at SAHA 2026 with a fully equipped ambulance concept.

The vehicle was equipped with a 330 HP (240 kW) engine and an Allison 3500 SP fully automatic transmission. KISRAK Ambulance, which reaches an underbelly height of 520 millimeters thanks to its portal axle structure, offers evacuation in rough terrains where standard vehicles cannot pass. A coil spring suspension system is preferred in the vehicle for shock management, which is critical during casualty transportation.

The platform, which has an air conditioning system that can operate independently of the vehicle’s main engine, has a capacity of 5 personnel and 2 inpatients. The vehicle, which has a stretcher structure with a rail loading system compatible with NATO standards, includes a resuscitation unit, oxygen support system, various medical intervention kits and pharmaceutical storage areas made of fireproof materials. New collaborations and global market target Koluman Automotive considers SAHA 2026 not only as a product exhibition area but also as a platform where strategic goals will be realized.

The company aims to transform the export potential of DERMAN and KISRAK platforms into concrete collaborations with allied countries, especially in the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia. Koluman, planning to emphasize its “multi-task on a single platform” capability, as in the KISRAK Ambulance example, will hold technical meetings with foreign military delegations and purchasing commissions during the fair. The company will consult with sub-manufacturers in the defense industry ecosystem on R&D partnerships that will increase localization rates, and will collect data for new generation vehicle designs with feedback received from the field.

The company will also once again emphasize its professional approach in vehicle lifecycle management in the international arena. Source: AA
