Oppo officially introduced the new generation Reno 16 series in China. The series consisting of Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro models; It entered the market with its high-resolution camera system, large battery capacity and MediaTek’s new generation processors. The company’s new models also stand out with their display technologies and fast charging features. Comes with 200 MP Main Camera Both models of the Oppo Reno 16 series have a 200 megapixel main camera using the Samsung HP5 sensor.
The camera system is accompanied by a 50 megapixel ultra wide angle sensor and a 50 megapixel periscope telephoto camera that offers 3.5 times optical zoom. The telephoto camera has optical image stabilization support. On the front, a 50 megapixel selfie camera with autofocus support is preferred. The devices offer options for video calling and social media content production with high-resolution front camera support.
120 Hz OLED Screen While the standard Reno 16 model comes with a 6.32 inch flat OLED screen, the Reno 16 Pro has a 6.78 inch panel. Both phones offer 120 Hz refresh rate support. While the Reno 16 model provides a resolution of 2640 x 1216 pixels, the Pro version comes with a resolution of 2772 x 1272 pixels. The displays also include 10-bit color support and high-frequency PWM dimming technology. It was announced that the maximum brightness level reached 3600 nits.
MediaTek Dimensity Processors Were Preferred Oppo uses different processor options in the new series. While the Reno 16 model includes the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 SUPER processor, the Reno 16 Pro model is powered by the Dimensity 9500s platform. Both devices use LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage technology. This hardware structure targets lower latency in application performance and data transfer speeds. Up to 7,000 mAh Battery Capacity On the battery side, the Reno 16 model has a capacity of 6,700 mAh.
Reno 16 Pro comes with a 7,000 mAh battery. Both models offer 80W fast charging support. The Pro model also has 50W wireless charging. Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB Type-C, stereo speaker, in-screen fingerprint reader and IR blaster support. While the Reno 16 model has Wi-Fi 6 support, Reno 16 Pro uses Wi-Fi 7 technology. Oppo Reno 16 Price The 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage version of Oppo Reno 16 went on sale in China with a price tag of 3,499 CNY.
The same hardware option of Reno 16 Pro was announced as 3,699 CNY. The upper versions of the series, offering 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage, were listed at a price of 4,799 CNY for Reno 16 and 4,899 CNY for Reno 16 Pro.
