The program is managed by the U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center and includes training devices, course materials, logistics support and engineering services for flight crews and maintenance personnel. The system currently supports many US military units. With the new contract, the scope of support will be expanded to include the United States Navy Reserve and United States Coast Guard units. Lockheed Martin Air and Commercial Systems Vice President Todd Morar said the contract reflects ongoing collaboration between the U.S.
government, the company and industry partners on the sustainability of the C-130J program. C-130J Super Hercules, a medium-sized tactical transport aircraft, can be used for various missions. Lockheed Martin reported that more than 560 aircraft have been delivered to users in 28 countries to date, and the total flight time of the global fleet exceeds 3 million hours.
