Can Polat, who was Dilan Polat’s bodyguard and Engin Polat’s cousin, lost his life as a result of an armed attack in the Çeşme district of Izmir. As part of the funeral ceremony held for Polat, his body was brought to Ataşehir Küçükbakkalköy Central Mosque for the funeral prayer on June 4. There were emotional moments at the funeral ceremony. After the ceremony, allegations were made on social media that Engin Polat attended the funeral wearing a steel vest, but no official statement was made on the subject. İhsan Yalçın, who participated in the program of journalist Özlem Gürses, claimed that some precautions were taken for security purposes during the funeral.
