The Turkish technology company, which develops robotics-based advanced production technologies, will export to one of the leading space organizations. According to the statement made by Intecro Robotics, the company and its group subsidiary MetalWorm signed an important agreement within the scope of the export of advanced production technologies for spacecraft production. As the main contractor of Intecro Robotics, the Robotics-Based Laser Coating Technology, Additive Manufacturing Technology and new generation production systems developed together with MetalWorm will be used in the production processes of medium-lift, heavy-lift and super heavy-lift class launch vehicle components.
The developed systems are designed for the production of spacecraft components that are resistant to high temperatures, extreme pressure, intense structural load and harsh mission conditions. The advanced production infrastructures to be integrated within the scope of the agreement include high-precision robotic production systems, large-scale metal additive manufacturing technologies, automation and digital production infrastructures, advanced welding, laser coating and structural production solutions.
The fact that these technologies will be used in the production of critical space structures that require high strength is considered an important step in terms of showing the level that Turkey’s engineering capabilities in the field of advanced production technologies have reached on a global scale. Ali Şen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Intecro Robotics, stated in his evaluation on the subject that the space industry is one of the areas where precision, reliability and advanced engineering requirements are highest.
Şen said, “Being involved in a collaboration of this scale is extremely valuable in terms of showing the competitiveness of the technologies we have developed on a global scale. The fact that the advanced production technologies developed from Turkey will be used in the world’s most prestigious space missions and programs is a great source of motivation for us.” he said. Intecro Robotics aims to maintain its strong presence in global projects in the fields of defence, aviation, space and advanced production technologies in the coming period.
