BAE Systems has been awarded a contract worth approximately $180 million by the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration for the Tridon Mk2 air defense system. Officials state that the system provides a cost-effective solution against evolving air threats while supporting the protection of military units and critical infrastructure. Previous procurements of TRIDON Mk2 systems have also been linked to support for Ukraine, reflecting broader efforts to strengthen air defense capabilities in Europe.
