The multi-purpose amphibious ship TCG Anadolu, belonging to the Naval Forces Command, was opened to citizens as part of the SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aviation and Space Industry Fair. Citizens who wanted to see the ship anchored in Sarayburnu Port created a crowd at the entrance of the port from the early hours of the morning. After security checks, visitors began to be taken onto the ship in groups at 10:00. Visitors, including children, students, families, and local and foreign tourists, had the opportunity to closely examine Turkey’s local and national warship, TCG Anadolu.
Citizens examined the local and national defense industry products exhibited on the ship and received information from the personnel on duty, and did not forget to take a souvenir photo on the deck of the ship. Deniz Negiz, a 5th grade student who visited the ship, stated that TCG Anadolu is a very large ship representing Turkey and said, “It makes me happy that it is the largest ship in Turkey. I wanted to tour the ship very much, I am very happy to be here.” he said.
Mehmet Emin Titiz, one of the visitors, stated that he visited TCG Anadolu, Turkey’s largest ship and the world’s first UAV ship, and said, “This is a truly proud feeling. When I grow up, I want to design fighter planes like Selçuk Bayraktar. I want to make Turkey a world brand by making more advanced models such as KAAN, Northrop B-2 Spirit and F-35 Lightning II.” he said. Expressing his emotion after touching the Bayraktar TB3 displayed on the ship, Ekrem Horoz said, “May God be pleased with those who made these, those who were instrumental in this, and those who contributed.
May God protect them and keep them always with us. We are always their supporters. We are ready to do whatever is our part as citizens. As long as they exist. May the Turkish army always be on the side of the oppressed and against the oppressor in the world.” he said. TCG Anadolu can be visited tomorrow as well. Source: AA
