Turkish Football Federation shared with the public the new foreign player rule determined for the Trendyol Super League. In the statement made on the official website of TFF, it was stated that the professional league statuses for the 2026-2027 season were published, and it was stated that the 10 4 foreigners rule will be valid in the Super League. Accordingly, there will be no age requirement for the 10 foreign players in the squad.
However, at least 4 foreign players must be born on or after January 1, 2003. PUNISHMENT FOR TEAMS THAT DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE RULES According to the information obtained, the team list of the Super League teams will consist of a maximum of 28 football players. At least 14 players on the list will be required to be eligible to play in the Turkish National Team. At least 4 of the players in question must be born in 2003 or later.
Clubs will also be able to have a maximum of 3 goalkeepers on their lists. The condition that at least 2 of these goalkeepers must be local will be applied. On the other hand, local football players born on or after January 1, 2006 will be able to play in official matches without being included in the A team list. It was stated that sanctions such as creating an incomplete list and applying disciplinary action will be taken against the clubs that do not comply with the rules.
