US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth claimed that the most intense air strikes in the war that started with the US and Israel’s attacks on Iran will be carried out today.
Hegseth made statements about the Iran agenda at the press briefing held at the White House.
Stating that the F-15 pilot who crashed in Iran contacted him and sent a message regarding his situation, Hegseth said that this person “hid on Saturday and was rescued on Sunday” after the plane was shot down on Friday, April 3.
Regarding the attacks against Iran, Hegseth said, “Today will be the day of the most intense air strikes. Tomorrow will be more intense than today.” he said.
US President Donald Trump, who had previously threatened Iran if it did not open the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours, stated in his post on his social media account, “On Tuesday at 20:00 US East Coast time (03:00 on Wednesday, April 8).”
