The Presidency of Religious Affairs announced the 2026 Eid al-Adha prayer times. Eid prayer times for 81 provinces, including Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and Bursa, have been announced.

The Presidency of Religious Affairs has published the Eid al-Adha prayer times for 2026. Eid prayers will be held in mosques across Türkiye on Wednesday morning, May 27, 2026, the first day of Eid. While citizens are researching at what time the Eid prayer will be performed in the provinces they live in, the prayer times of all provinces, especially Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and Bursa, have been determined. Millions of people all over Turkey will line up in mosques on the morning of Eid al-Adha.

Eid prayer is known as an obligatory two-rakat prayer that is performed twice a year in congregation. Before the prayer, the intention is made and the imam is followed. The first Rakat is made with the Imam. The hands are folded after saying the iftitah takbir. Subhaneke prayer is read. Then the takbir is recited three times. In the first two takbirs, the hands are left sideways, and after the third takbir, the hands are folded.

Imam recites Surah Fatiha and Zami. Ruku and prostration are performed. In the second Rakat, the Imam recites Surah al-Fatiha and zammi. Then the takbir is recited three times and the hands are left to the side. With the fourth takbir, one bows down. After the prostrations, Tahiyyat, Salli and Barik prayers are recited. The prayer is completed by greeting. After the prayer, the sermon is read and takbirs of tashriq are recited.
