ASHGABAT (AA) – Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz was received by Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhammedov in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, where he was present for the 9th Term Turkmenistan-Turkey Intergovernmental Economic Commission (HEK) meeting. In his post about the meeting on his NSosyal account, Yılmaz noted the following: “During our meeting with Mr. Berdimuhammedov, we comprehensively discussed the deep-rooted bonds of brotherhood between Turkey and Turkmenistan, as well as the areas of cooperation that will shape our common future.

We demonstrated a strong will to further our mutually beneficial partnerships on many topics, from energy to transportation, from trade to education, from science and technology to cultural interaction.” We believe that every step that strengthens the unity and solidarity of the Turkish world will make significant contributions to the peace and prosperity of our region.” Stating that it is of great importance to develop Turkey-Turkmenistan relations with a strategic vision, which is strengthened by common history and values, especially in a period when uncertainties increase on a global scale, Yılmaz said, “We will continue to support stability in our region and achieve our common development goals together with the work we carry out on the basis of mutual trust, unity and solidarity.” he said.
