The person who was shot by the suspect approaching from behind in Beyoğlu was injured

ISTANBUL (AA) – The person who was shot and injured by the suspect approaching from behind while walking in Beyoğlu was taken to the hospital.

Polat Y. (24), who was walking on Yeni Çarşı Street in Tomtom District, was shot by the suspect approaching from behind.

While the suspect was fleeing the scene, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area upon notice.

Polat Y, who was injured, was taken to the hospital after first aid by medical teams.

Crime scene investigation teams worked on the street closed by police.

Efforts are continuing to capture the escaped suspect.
