ISTANBUL (AA) – A mapping show with the theme of “Zero Waste” was held at Galata Tower, one of the symbolic structures of Istanbul, within the scope of June 1-7 Zero Waste Week. Zero Waste Week, one of Turkey’s important awareness movements in the field of environment and sustainability, is celebrated with various events. In the event organized by the Zero Waste Foundation within the scope of the week, a “Zero Waste” themed mapping show was held in Galata Tower, one of the historical landmarks of Istanbul.
In the show, zero waste-themed animation was projected onto the surface of the tower. The show, which aimed to draw attention to the environmental, economic and social gains of the “Zero Waste” approach, was one of the important stops of the awareness activities carried out throughout the week. While local and foreign tourists and citizens around the Galata Tower watched the show with interest, some recorded it with their mobile phones.
