SAMSUN (AA) – “Cultural Heritage Project-eCommerce Meetings” program was organized at Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Manufacturers, entrepreneurs, SME representatives and sector stakeholders attended the program hosted by Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry, organized by the Reliable Product Platform with the support of the Ministry of Commerce and the main stakeholder of Pazarama. Samsun Governor Orhan Tavlı, in his speech here, said that Samsun has a strong potential in the fields of industry, technology, agriculture, trade and logistics.
Stating that the city has become one of the important production centers of the Black Sea and Northern Anatolia with the investments it has received in recent years, Tavlı stated that Samsun attracts attention in the field of investment and production with its young, talented and qualified workforce. Referring to the developments in the city’s industrial infrastructure, Tavlı drew attention to the role of SMEs in economic development.
Tavlı stated that SMEs play an important role in creating new employment areas, adapting to market conditions and increasing production capacity. Stating that globalization and technological transformation have reshaped the rules of trade, Tavlı said: “We live in an age where traditional trade patterns are rapidly being replaced by digital platforms and borders remain only on maps. The importance of your work is measured not only by the quality of the goods you produce, but also by how fast, how effectively and through which digital channels you can deliver that good to the world markets.

– “E-commerce means democratization of trade” Celal Toprak, President of Reliable Product Platform, said that they held the 18th “eCommerce Provincial Meetings” in Samsun. Stating that their aim is to contribute to the involvement of entrepreneurs in e-commerce in every city they visit, Toprak said, “E-commerce means the democratization of commerce, making it a trade that everyone can do. Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board Member Oğuzhan Serinkaya also said that e-commerce has moved from being an alternative sales channel to the center of trade. Stating that digitalization has brought about a radical transformation in the business world, Serinkaya said, “When e-commerce is mentioned, most of the time only a website or online store comes to mind. However, behind the business there is a very wide ecosystem ranging from digital banking to payment systems, from logistics management to cargo tracking and digital marketing.
Our businesses need to handle this process with a holistic approach.” he said. Serinkaya stated that the e-commerce volume in Turkey will grow by 52.2 percent in 2025 compared to the previous year and reach 4 trillion 567 billion liras, and the number of e-commerce transactions in the same period will be 5 billion 940 million. Within the scope of the program, Ministry of Commerce E-Commerce Specialist Melike Usca, Pazarama Sales Director Enes Kuşçu, Sürat Kargo Regional Manager Mustafa Şahinkanat, Türkiye İş Bankası SME and Marketing Unit Manager Elif Koç and Pazarama Sales Team Leader Hüseyin Soylu shared their knowledge and experiences.
