Maternity Assistance Payments were Deposited to Accounts Before the Eid

The Ministry of Family and Social Services announced that May maternity allowance payments were transferred to accounts before Eid al-Adha.

The Ministry of Family and Social Services reported that maternity benefit payments for May were deposited into the accounts of beneficiaries before Eid al-Adha. In the statement, it was stated that the updated support amounts came into force within the scope of the 2025 Family Year. According to the information shared by the Ministry, the aid system for children born as of January 1, 2025 has been rearranged. In this context, a one-time payment of 5 thousand liras is made for the first child, while a monthly support of 1,500 liras is provided for the second child.

For the third and subsequent children, the monthly payment of 5 thousand lira continues. Support System Covering Millions of Children According to the announced data, more than 1 million children have benefited from birth assistance so far. It was stated that while the first and second children constitute a significant portion of the children in the system, regular payments are also made for the third and above children.

The Ministry stated that a total of billions of lira payments have been made to hundreds of thousands of mothers so far, and that the support continues uninterruptedly until the children reach the age of 5. Applications are made through e-Government. Applications for birth assistance continue to be received through the e-Government system and the “My First Teacher, My Family” mobile application. Citizens whose applications are approved can follow their payment status through the same application.

While it was stated that the payments were transferred to the accounts through Halkbank, it was noted that the system continues to operate with a regular payment schedule. According to Ministry data, payments made within the scope of maternity allowance vary depending on the number of children. While one-time support is provided for the first child, a monthly payment model is applied for subsequent children.
